Today I started by doing secondary picture research and started to think of what my 3 idea's would be.
After doing this I started to research some artists who do pictures of what my ideas would be realted to.

After doing this I researched thigs to believe
Hi Damon

Your last post is great - well done for including images as well. Try to write even more about you - use "I" statements much more frequently.

Day 4

Today we were given the bref in the morning where we were told that we would be making a piece of art, mostley using photography.
We have to make it 3D and be as creative as possible, after the breif I thought of an idea that I could use so me and Jonathon went to get a fish bowl from the science lab and found two big rocks.
My idea was to take a picture when the two rocks were being dropped in the water so it gave the effect with bubbles around them.

After doing this a few times and getting some good pictures we I decided to be more creative and experiment with colour, to do this we would need food colouring which we got from the food room next door.
We got some red food colouring and first tested it in a cup of water, after doing this we had to use thre people so one could drop the rocks, one person to take the picture and the other to pour the food colouring in.

This went well and we got many good photos from doing this, one o which made the rocks look evil with red colouring coming off of it.

Some of the pictures we took looked really good and had a really good effect.
After we did this we did some resaerch and wrote the breif up in neat and did some researech

Hi Damon

Good comments. Try to develop your "I" statements even more and include images as much as possible.

Day 2

Today we went into the dark room and did some prints of our pictures we took last week. First we did contact prints, these are when you get your negatives and put them on top of a piece of photographic paper then put the light on it and put it through the different chemicals.
After we had done some contact prints we did bigger prints, we did this by putting the negatives into the enlarger and print the picture on a peice of paper.
I found it easy to do the prints but also found it hard to find the right amount of light time o put on the prints.
I did a test strip with half a peice of photography paper, I used a picture we had taken and printed it for 2 seconds at a time while covering the other pieces of the paper witha peice of card.
I meade two final prints, 1 was to dark so it needed less time where as the other was to light so it needed slighty more time.
I found out that the best time for the paper to be under the light is about 4-5 seconds.

Day 1

Today we started the day by learning how to use the camera's that use film.
We were given a piece of paper with a word on it which we went out in groups of two and took pictures. My word woed was 'Decay', I found it hard to take pictures of somthing with this word so we took some picture of broken walls and other things that looked like they were going rotten. When using the camera's we had to find the right opacity, focus and aperture, we knew when these were right because there would be a green dot when looking through the camera lens.
When we got back to the class we had a go at taking the film out of the pot, wrap it around the little spindle and place it in a bucket where we put chemicals to fix the film to negatives,
This was hard as we couldn't see the film as it was in a black bag because it is light sesitive.

later today I made some designs and printed of some pictures of soem picture that had been made by artist's such as Tracey Emin, Damien Hurst, Antony Gormely and Louise Bourgeouis
